Cut out a pair of gloves or mittens with cookie cutter.\u00a0 Slide on to skewer.\u00a0 Leave out to dry.\u00a0 {Optional: use white royal icing to pipe on fun details like stripes, snowflakes and dots.}<\/li>\n<li>Roll orange sugarpaste into the shape of a carrot. Slide in a toothpick so it can be attached to the face.\u00a0 Leave out to dry.<\/li>\n<li>Bake cakes.<\/li>\n<li>Make icing.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>Here&#8217;s what you&#8217;ll do the day of:<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Stack, fill and cover the 6-inch layers in white icing.\u00a0 Repeat for the 4-inch layers.<\/li>\n<li>Carefully cover the icing with shredded coconut.<\/li>\n<li>Insert dowels into the 6-inch cake and stack 4-inch cake on top.<\/li>\n<li>Roll out sugarpaste about 18&#8243; long.\u00a0 Cut into a strip for the scarf.\u00a0 Use only one red strip for a solid scarf.\u00a0 Or add a smaller strip of white (on top of the red) for a striped scarf.\u00a0 Wrap around &#8216;neck&#8217; of snowman. {Optional: add small red berries and green holly leaves for an extra touch}.<\/li>\n<li>Insert carrot nose.<\/li>\n<li>Use chocolate chips to create eyes, mouth and buttons.<\/li>\n<li>Insert arms last or after transportation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you want to be a rock-star mom, prep several of these cakes and let your little ones assemble their own snowman.\u00a0 Kids of all ages would enjoy covering the snowman in coconut and adding the eyes, nose, arms and scarf.\u00a0 Older children would enjoy piping the mitten details as well.\u00a0 What a fun alternative to the traditional gingerbread house!\u00a0 And in the end, you&#8217;ll have your own hillside of snowmen.<\/p>\n<p>A huge thank you to Miso at <a href=\"Miso Bakes\" target=\"_blank\">Miso Bakes<\/a> for creating such a fun tutorial for us!\u00a0 Hope you enjoy creating her super cute, <strong>Mini Merry Snowman<\/strong> with your family and friends!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thumpetty Thump Thump!
