We got the biggest apples we could find, caramel, chocolate, and all the candy and nuts you can imagine and let everyone create their own caramel apple masterpiece. Let\u2019s just say everyone\u2019s competitive side came out and there were some pretty unique and decadent apples that were decorated that day. Looks like we will be making this an annual bakery tradition!<\/p>\n<p>And of course we had to turn the caramel apple idea into decorated sugar cookies! Cut the leaf and stem off the top of the apple shape using the smooth edge of the cookie cutter. When you lift your spatula and the icing drips and falls back into itself after about 10 seconds, it is a good consistency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><strong>DECORATE THE CARAMEL APPLE COOKIES:<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Using the caramel color piping consistency icing pipe the shape of the \u201ccaramel dipped\u201d part of the apple on the bottom 2\/3 of the cookie.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-32206\" src=\"https:\/\/thecakeblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/caramel-apple-cookies-step-9.jpg\" alt=\"Caramel Apple Cookies - how to decorate caramel apple sugar cookies | by ellenJAY for TheCakeBlog.com\" width=\"600\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thecakeblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/caramel-apple-cookies-step-9.jpg 600w, https:\/\/thecakeblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/caramel-apple-cookies-step-9-400x320.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><br \/>\nFill in the caramel shape with the caramel flood icing from the flood bottle.\u00a0Allow icing to set for about 1-2 min and then add the rainbow jimmies overtop.
