Elegant.\u00a0 Today&#8217;s post is all about taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary.\u00a0 Calling upon the goodness of nature to create healthier cakes, bakes and desserts, full of fruit and flavor.\u00a0 Today&#8217;s featured recipe takes free-range egg whites and whips them into a fluffy cloud of meringue.\u00a0 Infused with rose water and swirled into a nest-like bowl, the meringue is baked until crispy on the outside and heavenly on the inside.\u00a0 Then topped with whipped cream, fresh strawberries and rose petals, this pavlova is one worthy of entertaining and special occasions.\u00a0 And we&#8217;re learning how to make it, just in time for spring and summer celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>It comes to us from the gorgeous new book, <strong><em><a title=\"Live Bake Nourish by Amber Rose\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1909487031\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=1909487031&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=thcabl0e-20\" target=\"_blank\">Love, Bake, Nourish<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, by Amber Rose.\u00a0 Baking since she could first reach for the whisk, Amber&#8217;s recipes focus on fresh ingredients, baked in a way that nature intended.\u00a0 Working as a private chef for Jude Law and as a food stylist for Gwyneth Paltrow&#8217;s lifestyle site, <a title=\"Goop\" href=\"https:\/\/www.goop.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Goop<\/a>, Amber has earned her spot as the go-to baker for London&#8217;s celebrity crowd.\u00a0 And now Amber is sharing her recipes with all in her yummy new book, filled with page after page of dreamy inspiration.\u00a0 With everything from cakes and tarts to meringues, custards and crumbles, this book has a little something for everyone.\u00a0 To include sugar-free, wheat-free and even dairy-free recipes. \u00a0Seasonal ingredients are paired with honey, nuts and flowers to create bright recipes that will have home bakers feeling good inside and out.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s celebrate with Amber&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rose Water and Pistachio Pavlova<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20521\" src=\"https:\/\/thecakeblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/rose_water_pavlova.jpg\" alt=\"Rose water and pistachio pavlova with strawberries | from Live Bake Nourish by Amber Rose\" width=\"546\" height=\"774\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thecakeblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/rose_water_pavlova.jpg 546w, https:\/\/thecakeblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/rose_water_pavlova-400x567.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 546px) 100vw, 546px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is definitely a firm favorite of mine and, for me, scattering rose petals on top is an absolute must\u2014this dessert is not just for the palate, it\u2019s for the soul, something to be made with love for a very special occasion. ~ Amber Rose<\/p>\n<p><strong>ROSE WATER AND PISTACHIO PAVLOVA WITH STRAWBERRIES<\/strong><br \/>\na recipe from <em><a title=\"Live Bake Nourish by Amber Rose\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1909487031\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=1909487031&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=thcabl0e-20\" target=\"_blank\">Love, Bake, Nourish<\/a><\/em> by Amber Rose<br \/>\n(serves 6\u20138)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 teaspoons cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons cider vinegar<\/li>\n<li>5 large free-range egg whites<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>1 cup superfine sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon rose water, or to taste<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup pistachios,plus extra to decorate,finely chopped<\/li>\n<li>A few rose petals, to decorate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>For the Cream:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>11\/4 cups heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons confectioners sugar,or to taste<\/li>\n<li>3 cups (14oz) strawberries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preheat the oven to 400\u00baF.\u00a0 Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and mark a circle on it, 10 inches in diameter.<\/p>\n<p>Mix the cornstarch and vinegar until thoroughly combined and lump-free.\u00a0 In a large clean bowl, whisk the egg whites with the salt until stiff peaks form, then add the sugar 1 tablespoon at a time, alternating with small amounts of the vinegar mix, until everything is thoroughly combined. The meringue should be thick,smooth, and glossy.\u00a0 Fold in the rose water and half the pistachio nuts.<\/p>\n<p>Using a large spoon, mound the mixture a spoonful at a time just inside the circle on your parchment paper,then add another layer if you need more height.\u00a0 Last fill the center, thus creating a large nest like shape with beautiful swirls. (Use your finger, if you like, to create extra flicks and shapes.)
